Remembrance Day
ooc/ This day always makes me have a strong urge to sign up for the army. I just want to feel what they went through and what they saw. Obviously it won't be the same and will probably never be close. Just knowing people put their lives on the line to help create what the world is today is heart warming. To me, this day is touching. I love it to pieces. I was very disappointed at school today because they didn't recite 'In Flanders Fields.' You can't call it a Remembrance Day assembly without it.

Someday when I have the courage, I'll join the army. One of my goals in life is to drive down the Highway of Hero's. Though, of course, I'd rather be alive when I do that.

Another thing I'm disappointed about. During the assembly, some guy decided he'd swear and pick on the girls sitting behind him. Out of all the days in the year, can't he just be respectful for one single day? Even just for an hour. It was horrible. We should respect those who fought and stay silent during times like these. Those soldiers who died have been silenced forever, so the least we can do is respect that.
